One of the biggest downsides of the RV we picked was that it doesn’t have an oven. (We have a convection microwave but I have no idea how to use that yet!) I love to bake, so the thought of not having cookies and other baked goods for months at a time on the road made me a little sad. Smores are a classic camping dessert, but we’ll also be traveling to plenty of places with burn bans and sometimes you just want a cookie!
After I moped about not having an oven for a bit, I compiled a list of camper recipes for desserts I can easily make in my RV. Here are my top 10 RV-friendly desserts when you can’t bake.

- No Bake Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies – A classic and quick camper recipe when you’re really needing a cookie or a really chocolatey treat.
2. Homemade Rice Krispies Treats – Way tastier than store-bought! Add sprinkles to make it extra festive. Most recipes are very similar.
3. No Bake Trifles – So many recipes and options here! Banana pudding with wafer cookies. Strawberry ice box cake with graham crackers. The nostalgic treat Oreo ‘Dirt’.
4. No Bake Cheesecakes – You have tons of options here! Pinterest has more no bake cheesecake recipes than any camper could ever make!
5. Chex Muddy Buddies – Maybe a little messy for RV life, but perfect for picnic table dinners. A camper favorite for sure.
6. Pudding Pies – Lemon pie, peanut butter pie, chocolate pie, etc. Get a premade graham cracker crust and you’ll have this camper dessert put together in just a few minutes!
7. Ice Cream Cake – Make this camper recipe with ice cream sandwiches, oreos and cookies & cream ice cream, or layers of vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on a cookie crust. We used leftover cupcakes to make a birthday cake ice cream cake.
8. Fudge – Melt on the stove or use the microwave if you have hookups.
9. Peanut Butter Candy – This easy 2 ingredient dessert is a favorite family recipe that Ryan’s grandma always used to make. Some recipes add heavy cream and vanilla but we just do peanut butter and powdered sugar. Camper recipes with 2 ingredients? Perfection!
10. Homemade Star Crunch Cookies – I completely forgot about this treat, but I used to love these as a kid! It’s similar to a rice krispies treat but with chocolate. Sign me up!

I’ve also seen quite a few people claim that a waffle maker is ideal for making some cookies when you don’t have an oven, so I’ll have to give that a try!
If the idea of no homemade baked goods makes you sad too, hopefully this list of no bake desserts will be perfect for your life on the road! You know, for enjoying in between all of the delicious treats we find while traveling! Only happy campers here!
